The Society of the Swiss Hospital at Home invites researchers and practitioners to submit abstracts at the Swiss Hospital at Home Congress 2026, to be held on 12 March 2026 at the Congress Centre Biel, Switzerland.
This year’s thematic focus is
From Vision to Practice – Integrating Hospital at Home into the Swiss Healthcare System.
Hospital at Home (HaH) is changing the way acute care is provided. It offers patient-centered and efficient care as an alternative to staying in the hospital. This session, organized by the Research Group, aims to present current evidence, practical experiences, and research that help to understand and improve the integration of HaH in Switzerland.

Submission Guidelines
Submission deadline: 15.02.2026
Abstracts must be written in English
Maximum length: max. 2’500 Zeichen (inkl. Leerzeichen) (excluding title and author information)
Structure for scientific abstracts: Introduction, Methods, Results, Conclusion
Structure for case reports: Learning objectives, Case, Discussion
Use standard abbreviations only, and spell them out at first mention (no abbreviations in the title)
Authors will be notified of acceptance by 20.02.2026 via e-mail
The presenting author must be registered for the congress
All abstracts will undergo peer review by the Research Group
Abstracts will be published as submitted – please ensure that all information (names, addresses, e-mail) is correct. Abstracts will be published exclusively on the SHAHS website and do not count as a scientific publication.
Evaluation
According to the following criteria – relevance, originality, methodological quality, practical relevance, and clarity.
Poster format for the conference
A0 portrait (84.1 × 118.9 cm) | minimum 28 pt body text | clearly structured layout
The poster will be printed and brought by the author. Further information will be provided after the abstract has been accepted.
Presentation
Presence of the authors during the poster sessions is encouraged.
